Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of OppressedAI at oppressedai.com. By creating an account you agree to them and to our Acceptable Use Policy.

What the service is

OppressedAI generates images, video clips and speech from prompts and from media you upload. Generation runs on third-party models reached through fal.ai — Black Forest Labs (Flux), Kuaishou (Kling), ByteDance (Seedance), Google (Veo, Nano Banana), Lightricks (LTX), ElevenLabs and MiniMax (speech). We do not train our own models and we do not train on your content.

Accounts

• You are responsible for keeping your password and connected agents secure.
• Applications you connect can generate on your behalf and spend your credits. You can review and revoke them at any time under Account → Connected apps.
• One person or organisation per account. Do not share credentials.

Credits

Usage is metered in credits. Each model costs a stated number of credits, shown before you generate. Video is priced by clip length and speech by script length, so the cost shown reflects what you actually asked for.

Credits are sold one way: as one-off packs. There is no subscription tier, no plan to be on, and nothing that bills you a second time.

Credit packs

Bought once — in Naira through Paystack in Nigeria, and in Cedis, Shillings or Rand through Flutterwave in Ghana, Kenya and South Africa. A pack does not renew, there is nothing to cancel, and the credits it grants do not expire with the passage of time. Buying another pack adds to your balance rather than replacing it. Naira prices are shown below; other currencies are converted from them at checkout.

• Credits have no cash value, cannot be transferred or redeemed for money, and are not refundable except as described below.
• If a generation fails through a fault on our side or our provider's, the credits are refunded to your balance automatically.
• A generation that completes is charged even if you dislike the result. Generative models are not deterministic and output quality is not guaranteed.

Monthly plans

Alongside the packs above we offer monthly plans, billed by card in US dollars. A plan is a subscription: it renews on its own until you cancel it. Which of the two you are buying is shown at checkout — if you pay in Naira you are buying a pack, and nothing recurs.

• A plan renews automatically at the end of each billing period, at the price you signed up at, until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your account; the plan then runs to the end of the period you have already paid for and stops.
• A plan's credits are added to your balance once per month, whether you pay monthly or a year in advance. Paying a year in advance buys the same monthly credits at a lower price; it does not release a year of credits at once.
• Credits already granted stay in your balance and keep their no-expiry treatment if you cancel. Cancelling stops future payments and future grants; it does not empty what you have already been given.

Billing and cancellation

• A pack never renews. You are charged once, there is nothing to cancel, and we will not charge you again unless you buy another pack yourself. Monthly plans are the exception and are described above. See the Refund Policy for when we refund a payment.
• Payments are handled by our payment processor. We never see or store your card details.
• If we change pack prices, the change applies only to packs bought after it takes effect. If we change a plan's price we will tell you before it applies to you, and you can cancel before the new price is charged. Credits already in your balance are never repriced or withdrawn.

Your content and what you own

• You keep your uploads. We claim no ownership of media you upload.
• You own your outputs, to the extent they can be owned, and may use them commercially — subject to this agreement and to the underlying model providers' terms.
• You grant us the licence needed to run the service: to store your content, send it to the model providers to fulfil your request, and display it back to you. If you publish to the Community gallery, that licence extends to showing it publicly until you unpublish.
• Be aware that AI outputs may not be copyrightable in some jurisdictions, and that similar prompts can produce similar results for other users. We do not promise your output is unique.

Availability

We aim to keep the service running but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. The service depends on third-party model providers; if one is degraded or withdraws a model, the corresponding feature may change or disappear. We will refund credits for generations that fail as a result.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms or the Acceptable Use Policy. You may close your account at any time. On closure we delete your account data as described in the Privacy Policy, and any unspent credits go with it — a balance cannot outlive the account that holds it. This is not an expiry date: credits do not lapse with time, and closing the account is something you choose to do. If you want money back rather than a closed account, the Refund Policy says when we refund, and asking for a refund does not require you to close anything.

Liability

The service is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses such as lost profits or lost data. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

You are responsible for how you use what you generate, including any legal obligation to disclose that media is AI-generated.

Governing law

These terms and any dispute arising from them are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and the courts of Nigeria have exclusive jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of any mandatory consumer law of the country where you live.

Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced before they take effect, and continuing to use the service after that constitutes acceptance.
